Sophie Marchetti

Sophie Marchetti brings a data infrastructure background to broker comparison — an unusual combination that shows in the rigour of BrokerDataNet's underlying dataset. Before joining the team, she spent seven years at a Milan-based fintech building real-time pricing and instrument datasets for institutional clients, where she learned that bad data in financial systems has real consequences.

At BrokerDataNet, Sophie is responsible for the accuracy of every data point across 328 brokers and more than 100 fields per broker. She runs automated validation checks to catch discrepancies, monitors for fee changes and product updates, and maintains the data pipeline that powers the site's programmatic pages.

She has a particular interest in fee transparency — specifically, the gap between headline spreads and the total cost of trading once you factor in commissions, overnight rates, and currency conversion fees.
