The commission amount varies by broker and does not influence our editorial ratings or review conclusions. Our scoring methodology is published in full on our Methodology page, and no broker can pay to alter its rating.
How Affiliate Relationships Work
Brokers may apply to be listed on BrokerDataNet and to participate in our affiliate programme. However, acceptance into the affiliate programme has no bearing on a broker's editorial rating. Our research team collects data on all major brokers regardless of affiliate status — a broker that has not applied to our programme is still included and rated using the same criteria as participating brokers.
Ratings are determined by our algorithm-based scoring system, which processes collected data points across eight weighted categories. Human editors do not override the algorithmic output, and the editorial team does not have visibility into the commission rates agreed with any individual broker.
Brokers Without Affiliate Relationships
A substantial number of the 328+ brokers featured on BrokerDataNet do not have an affiliate relationship with us. These brokers are included because they are relevant to retail traders in one or more jurisdictions. They are rated using the same methodology and receive the same editorial treatment as brokers with affiliate relationships. The absence of a commercial relationship does not negatively affect a broker's rating, ranking, or the coverage it receives on this site.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Affiliate links on BrokerDataNet are call-to-action buttons labelled “Open Account” or “Visit Broker” that appear on broker review pages and comparison pages. These links redirect through our affiliate tracking system before landing on the broker's website.
We disclose the presence of affiliate links above every call-to-action on broker-specific pages. The disclosure wording reads: “BrokerDataNet earns affiliate commission from brokers listed on this site. This does not affect our ratings or editorial independence.” This disclosure appears inline, above the affiliate link — not only in the footer.
